A sensation was caused in Regent Street, London, recently, when a tall, attractive and fashionahlv-dressed woman lighted a long, thin cigar and strolled through the shopping crowds to Oxford Circus, accompanied h.v a silk-luitted escort. Everyone stopped to look, and was amazed not so much' by the woman’s daring as by the expert manner in which she handled her cigar. Directly behind the cigar-smoking woman and her escort trudged a small, sorrowful man. He turned hack at the Circus, saying that lie was out CIO as the result of a bet lie made at a party the previous evening.
