AUSTRALIAN JOKE. UNITED BERVICE TELEGRAMS LONDON, Feb. 16. London is laughing at the experience of the experts whom Sir J. Cook entertained at luncheon at Australia House. Cook provided three ribs of Australian, Scotch and Argentine beef, which had privately been marked. The experts, not knowing the country of origin, were requested to test and place the beef in the order of merit. Four voted Scotch first, Australian second, and Argentine third. Three voted Scotch first, Argentine second, and Australian third. The significance is that the Argentine meat was two months old, hut Australia two years or three years, yet preference v. as given to Australian, notwithstanding suggestions from some quarters that long storage resulted in a great deterioration j
