-N.S.YV. POLITICS. MR DOOLEY’S POLICY. SYDNEY, February 17. Mr Dooley delivered his policy speech a.t Bathurst. He stated the abolition of the Upper House would be secured and the substitution of a revisionary committee would be brought about by flooding the Council. Government would .stick to the policy of forcing the disgorgement of land within three years and spend ten millions to increase settlement and cover the consequent w o rks. Government contemplated the establishment of an industrial hank to put the worker on the basis of recognition a« a factor in industry, and as ’ Government believes in complete cooperation, it should be put on a practical basis, and the workers be given an opportunity of owning, managing and controlling industries. It had been I decided to establish an industrial bank, and they also proposed legislation in the direction of maintaining f£4 5s as the basic wage, during tho • current year, to review the powers of \ the Board of Trade and alteT the func- | tions so as to maintain the standard of living in keeping with Australian ideals. Government also favoured a forty-four hours week, the reintroduction of the Motherhood Endowment Bill, with a provision for the limitation of dividends in cases of monopolies. It was proposed to reduce taxation on incomes up to £lO sterling weekly, and those over that amount, except a& between £lO and £ll rise by graduation..
