In the Badak case, the three accused, Falkiner, Scarborough and Clarke were all committed for trial on the charge of conspiracy to defraud. Each pleaded not guilty. TO TOUR AUSTRALASIA. SISTINE MALE COMBINATION. SYDNEY, Feb. 15. The famous Sistine Male Voice Choir, from the Sistine Chapel in Rome, is to tour Australasia. With reference to a report from Rome stating that the visit of the Sistine Choir will be limited
to eight weeks’ duration in Australia the agents here for the tour state that efforts are now being made to secure the carrying out of the originnl arrangement providing for a 16 weeks’ torn! in Australia and New Zealand. The New Zealand season would then be opening in Wellington on June 16.
In reference to a rumour that the visiting choir is not the genuine Sistine combination ,the agents state that they have Cardnal Gasparri’s (Papal Secretary of State) official confirmation of its genuineness.
