GERMAN NEWS.

cUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION. GERMAN POLITICAL CRISIS. FRENCH ELECTION POSSIBLE. BERLN, Feb. 13. . The crisis in the German political*—2* sphere arose during a strike debate -in the Reichstag. The National People’s Party denounced Chancellor Wirth as being over-lenient in the negotiations with the workers on strike. The Independents and Communists declared the Chancellor to be over harsh. Press correspondents agree that the crisis is serious, in view of the Genoa Conference, pointing out that the opposition parties altogether have a majority of two over the whole Government group. In view of the impossibility of any opposition group forming a Ministry,-the defeat of Herr Wirth would mean an election, and probably President Ebert’s resignation.
