Worthless Currencies
The currencies of Europe are nearing a stage at widen it will be impossible to use them as media of exchange. There is no well defined line at the crossing of which a currency becomes worth less, but evidently it cannot continue to depreciate without reaching in time the point where the public will refuse to give anything for it. It is amazing how long a people will makeshift with money that is on the verge of becoming worthless, simply from the force of c» s tmn and because they have no substitute.
