FISHERMEN’S REVENGE. NAPLES, Dec. 22. The Naples police, hearing that fishermen of Pozzuoli, in Naples Bay, were fishing in forbidden waters, made an expedition against them in motor boats, arresting and fining many. The fishermen of Pozzuoli, thinking that Neapolitan fishermen, with whom they are in continual antagonism, had led the expedition, prepared an ambush against them and surrounded and boarded some Neapolitan fishing vessels. They were armed with revolvers and daggers, and a fight reminiscent of the ancient days of piracy followed, in which one man was killed and several were seriously wounded. The Neapolitans escaped after everything on board their ships had been destroyed. Thirteen men have been arrested.
