LATE LOCALS.
So far there is no news of the recovery of any of the bodies of the victims of Wednesday’s drowning fatality at Greymouth. In spite of the financial stringency there are still a large number of tourists visiting resorts in Canterbury and Westland. The Government Tourist Officer, Mr S. J. Collett, said yesterday that taking it all round, the season had been as good as could be expected. There was little difference in the figures so far as compared with the figures for the 1920-21 saeson. One resort that had gone ahead in popularity was the Franz Joseph glacier.
