. WELLINGTON, Feb. 9. THE COUNCIL. The Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m. The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Bill was passed without alteration. The Council disagreed with the House’s amendment to the Divorce Amendment Bill and adjourned at 9.30 till 11 a.m. next day. THE HOUSE. Ti e House met at noon. The following Bills were read a first time:—Electric Power Board’s Amendment Bill (Hon Coates); Christchurch Drainage Amendment Bill No. 2 (Hon Massey). The Meat Export Bill was put through Committee, reported with amendments, read a third time and passed. The Institute of Architects Amendment and Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Amendment Bill were put through the final stages and passed, with amendments. Waikato King Counry Counties Bill and Road Boards Amendment Bill, were passed through all stages unamended. The following local bills were passed —Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Bill, Taumarunui County Bill, Wbangarei Harbour Board Etnpowering Bill. \ i The House rose at 12.35 a.m. until i 11 o’clock. i
