RDiJINCTON STOCK MARKET. A GOOD- SALE. (By 'telegraph. —Special to Guardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs Matson and Co. report as "• lows regarding their slock sale vest, rdaStorc Sheep -Another large yarding, mostly lambs, which sold well cons,derincr the. drop in fat lambs. There was a "keen demand for all forward rape lambs, but smaller and inferior sorts were decidedly easier. Best rape lambs from 14s 6d ao 15s Bd, a few mjrtra good to 17s 6d; medium from 10s 12b • others from 5s to Bs. Best wethers from 12s to 14s 6d, others from 9s to 11s 6d. Sound mouth ewes from 11s 6d to 15s; failing mouth and inferior eaves, from 4s 3d to 7s 6d; goodl2toofih eyes, 18s 6d to 20s; others los. Store cattle —A very small yarding mostly non-descript lots, and no quotable difference in the market. lleef. The smallest entry for some considerable time and no outstanding quality was offered, but following last week’s yarding the majority of butchers were evidently short supplied, and the market showed a decided advance on last week, quite 30s. all round. Prime steers £lO 10s to £14,; extra to £l6 15s; medium £7 15s to £lO ss; others £5 10s. to £7. Best heifers £6 15s to £8 7s 6d; others £5, to £6 10s; prime cows £6 to £8 ss; extra to £lO ss; others JJ3 10s>, to £5 10s. Mutton—A comparatively small yarding, comprising again mostly eyes. No really outstanding lines of wethers were offering, but the market generally was firmer all. round, freezing buyers , only operating for light weights. Prime wetheys 23s 6d to 28s; extra, to. 31s; ipedium 20s to 235; others 14s fid to 19s; prime ewes 17s to 225; extra 24 s 6d; medium 13s to 16s 6d; others ids to pk 6d. i ~ v . A record yarding of fat famb, opened iip a good deal easier than last week, but improved . slightly. Several lines of West Coast Tambs met with a gojod y sale on the market. Tho average prices I was about 7sd overall.
