(Received This Day at 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, February 7. Lord Curzon in the House of Lords said the Government were prepared to give Franec the assurance, approved by Parliament in 1919. It would be a great mistake to extend it into an offensive and defensive alliance. He anticipated the results of the Genoa Conference would be equally as far reaching as the Washington Conference. Lord Reading is sending a survey of the situation in India which will bo submitted to Parliament .
