CHAMPIONSHIPS AT WELLINGTON AUSTRALIAN AND N.2. CABLE ASSOCIATION, WELLINGTON, Feb. 4. In glorious weather the national swimming championships were commenced to-day. The championships resulted 100 yards.—Enwright l, Murell 2, Atkinson 3. 100 yard’s Ladies’ Championship.— Hoeft 1, Sliand 2, Page 3. Time 07 4-5 secs. A very easy win. One Mile New Zealand Championship. —Hill 1, Cnnnold 2, Murrell 3. 220 yards Championship (intermediate).—Batchelor I’,' Claridge 2, Fairgray 3. Time 2min 33 3-5 secs. This is a record' for New Zealand. 75 yards Intermediate Girls’ Breaststroke Championship.— Tilley, Svensen, Agassi'?'.
