WEDDING BELLS.

«—-r ; 7 ROSS—CURTIS. The Roman Catholic Church, Dnnnevirke, was beautifully decorated on January 25th, when Miss Annie Curtis, youngest daughter of Mrs Jas.,,C,urtis, senr., of MePliee stiect, was married to Air Colin Ross, son of Mr W. Ross, of Hokitika, and a member of the , telegraph staff of the local Post Office. Very sweet indeed looked the bride, gowned in a lovely dress of white satin charmeuse, with small sleeves and panels of silver lace, with which was worn a dainty veil and orange blossoms. ~A beautiful bouquet of white and pink roses with long ribbon streamers and tiny rosebuds (the work of Mrs E,,Antcliff), completed a charming toilette. The bridesmaids were Misses Kate and Essie Curtis, nieces of the bride, , and Miss V. Vaughan, of Wellington, a cousin of the bridegroom, and all wore pretty frocks of ivory crepe de chine, with lemon-coloured sashes and black picture hats with streamers. A little niece of the bride, .Miss Connie Alder, from Palmerston North, acted as flower girl, in a pretty,frock of pinkcrepe de chine with small black hat and pink rosebuds, and she carried a. basket of lovely blossoms. Mr J. Kirwan (Reeftoh) attended the bridegroom as best man, the groomsman being Mr C. Raeburn, of Palmerston North. The bride was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr Alder, the ceremony being conducted by Father Daly. At its conclusion the wedding party and a large number of friends were entertained at the residence of the bride’s sisten-itt-law, Mrs James Curtis, junr., Gordon street, the guests including some from Wellington, Wanganui, Palmerston North and Hastings. Later Mi- and Mrs Ross left for a wedding trip to the south, the bride travelling

in a handsome brown gabardine costume with chip hat trimmed with floral | wreath. A very large number of beau-' tiful wedding presents was received by ■ these popular young people, who will! make their future home in Dannevirke.
