Despite Smith’s anxiety to beat Falkiner, in order to meet Newman with equ/il victories in fc'Ke next heat of the tournament, Falkiner several times took the lead during the week, though he made fewer big breaks than his opponent, his best being 255 and 213 Smith’s best breaks were 547, 432 and 357. Scores are: Smith 14,613, Falkiner 14,317. NEWMAN V. INMAN. LONDON, February 5. Newman was 2000 ahead of Inman in the middle of the week, but he has since wiped off 1000. Breaks were: Newman 602, 363, and 325. Inman 306, 296, 280 and 245. Scores are: Newman 14,233, Inman 13,251.
