WEDDING BELLS.

A pretty wedding was solemnised by ! Pastor N.' G. Noble at the Church of j Christ, Mat he son Street, Wanganui, !on January lltli, when Miss Lilly ! Purnell, daughter of Mr G. Purnell, j«f Wanganui, was married to Mr T. j B. Dixon, son of the late Mr B. j Dixon and Mrs Dixon of Greymoutli. j The church was prettiyl decorated in ; honour of the bride, who had acted as ! organist for a number of years. The i bride, who was given away by her j father, was daintily attired in cream : duchess mousseline, trimmed with i pearls, and wore an embroidered veil ; and wreath of orange blossoms, and ; carried a lovely shower bouquet. Her ■ two nieces attended as bridesmaids, j Miss Joyce Allan wearing blue crepe- | de chine, and Miss Marjorie Allan apricot crepe de chine and white hats. Roth bridesmaids carried pretty bou--1 quets to match their frocks. The bridegroom was supported by Mr J. Crawford, of Wellington, as best man, and 1 Mr McKillop as groomsman. After the ceremony the guests were entertained at the residence of the bride’s aunt, Mrs Graham. The happy couple left for the North on their honeymoon. The bride travelled in a braided fawn costume and cherry-coloured hat. Mr and Mrs Dixon returned to Greymouth last week. a/noa trM
