[by TELEGRAPH—PER PRESS ASSOCIATION] FRENCH FOOTBALL TEAM. WELLINGTON, Feb. 4. With reference to the cable stating the French Rugby team will not now leave till May 15th, the New Zealand Union states the original intention was to leave by the Ruahine sailing from Southampton on April 15th. This steamer has been put forward to April fith and the Frenchmen find they cannot leave so early, so that they have to take the steamer a month later. If adhered to they cannot arrive before July. Tho New Zealand Union is cabling for further information.
