Victoria in the second innings scored 348. In the bowling Kelleway cook two for 65, Mailey three for 97, anci Wall three for 37. New Soutli Wales in the second innings made 192. Collins made 34, Andrews 33, Love 19, and Kelleway 45. In the bowling McDonald got eight for 84. Victoria won by 154 .runs. The Sheffield Shield now goes into their possession. The batsmen were more spirited today until the wicket began to crumble at one end, which McDonald was taking advantage of, and it caused a collapse. SCHOOLS MATCH. CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 30 The match Auckland Grammar School V. Christchurch Boys’ High School for the Heathcote-Williams Shield commenced to-doy in fine weather. Auckland made 144. Reid scored 70, Monteith 12, and Weir 17. Powell took one for 13, Cromb five for 36, King one for 16, and Jacobs three for 15. High School lost three wickets foi 45: Mortlock (not out) 14, Powell 11.
