Sea-Grass Baby Carriages
A shipment of baby carriages and folding push carts finished in seagrass in the latest styles as used in the chief centres of the Dominion havejust been landed by Harley and Co., Ltd., House Furnishers, Greymouth. These prams and push-carts are designed to give the baby the greatest comfort and the upholstering is all in art shades with the wheels painted cream or white. The prices are low consistent with quality goods, and Harleys will be pleased to give our mule: s rices etc. on application by letter. Freight on all orders is paid Hokitika.

While working in the mine at Rewanui yesterday, a miner named Peter artin, met with a painful accident. He was timbering his working place when a six-inch nail penetrated the ball of his foot. He was conveyed to Greymouth where he received medical attention. and is progressing satisfactorily.
It is understood that the Supreme Court suit, J. C. Wells versus Cassidy and Hall, an action for damages arising out of a coach accident on the Christchurch road, has been settled to the satisfaction of the plaintiff, and the court proceedings will now he discontinued.
The State Collieries picnic excursion arrived about 11 o’clock in two excursion trains. A large crowd came by both trains, one coming from Rewanui and the other from Dunollie. A Band accompanied the holiday makers, who made Cass Square their headquarters and then spread themselves round the town. The trains return at 6.15 and 6.30 p.m. respectively.
Tile Hokitika Cycle Club will open their season on Friday, the 10th of February, at 6.45 p.m. on Cass Square track. The distance of race will be two miles, and will be for youths of eighteen years of age and under. First prize, gold medal, valued £2 2s, second prize, Dunlop tyres valued. £l, third prise, trophy, valued 10s. Entrance fee 2s, which closes on Tuesday, the 7th, with 4- T. George or E. C. News has been received of the death two weeks ago of Mr Peter Wilson, third son of Mrs D. Wilson of Brittan Street. Deceased was a painter and paperhanger by trade, and years ago was employed by the late Mr \Jamek Holmes, Over twenty years ago he to Victoria where he has carried on a business of 0 his own. Deceased had been ill for a, long time past. He leaves a widow and son and daughter, both married. His brothers and sisters include Mr J. H. Wilson (of Hokitika), and Mr D. Wilson (of Wellington), Mrs A. B. King (of Hokitika), Mrs Parkinson of Kanieri Lake. , <
