PRINCESS ROBBED. PARIS, Dec. 2. I An afternoon’s shopping lias resulted I in the loss to the Princess Stephanie of I Hohenlohe of about £IO,OOO worth of I jewels, and at the same time of more I than C2OO in cash which she was carrvI ing in her handbag. I The Princess arrived in Paris three I days ago from Vienna. She withdrew I her jewels this afternoon from the cusI tody of an Italian bank in the Rue le i I Peletier. After luncheon she made a I round of the shops. The silver chain of her bag was broken and the bag snatched as she was buying a bottle of perfume in a large emporium behind the Opera. By far the most valuable among the jewels’was a massive rope of pearls, but the other articles were of great \a1..0. They included a smaller pearl rope, six bracelets, one of which was studded with rubies, sapphires, and diamonds, and several rings and brooches. The missing hag is a black silk one embroidered with silver and attached to the wrist by a silver chain. It was of moderate size, and in order to prevent an accidental opening while it contained so many valuables, the Princess Stephanie had closed it with a large safety pin. It is supposed that the thief had followed her from the time since she left the bank. Princess Stephanie is 32 years old and claims to belong to an Italian branch of the Hohenlohe family. She is u tall, slender woman with dark eyes, and when interviewed this evening at i her hole! expressed the greatest ohag- i rin at her loss. i
