ADDINGTON stock market. LAMBS SHOW ADVANCE. (53y .airgraph.—Special to Guardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs Matsou and Co. report as follows regarding their slock sale yesterday:— Store Sheep.—A large yarding, comprised mostly of lambs, which sold gt an advance of from 3s to os on last week'' quotations. Lest rape lambs, a few at lls to 13s lOd. Ewes for fattening purposes were considerably dearer. No wethers were marketed. Store cattle.—Only a medium yarding, mostly nondescript lots, with no quotable difference from last sale. Beef.—A large yarding ami the quality compared with recent sales, was very indifferent. The market all round was considerably easier than last sale, especially for poorer quality. Prime quality, on the other hand, did not show the same decline. Towards the 'finish the market eased considerably. Prime steers T 9 to .£l2 os; ext|a good to £l4 15s; medium £0 15s to £B, 15s; others £5 to £6 10s; prime lieifefs £5 10s to £7 os; others £4 to £5 ss; prime cows £5 to £7 10s ; others £2 10s to £4 15b.
Mutton.—A medium yarding, again mostly ewes. Prices showed a good advance on last week. Not many wethers were offering and Ireiydng buyeis could only secure a small proportion of the entry. West Coast butchers were operating. Prime wethers :20s 6d to 2r )S j extra to 26s 6d; medium 17s 6d to 20s ; others 14s 9d to 17s; prime owes 13s 6d to 17s 6d; extra to 225; medium 11s to 13s. Others were down to 8s (3d. Lambs showed a sharp advance on last week and sold at about Pd average, over all.
