The Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m. The Council considered the Animals Protection and Game Bill in committee which was passed, with an amendment moved by Hon Thomson, making it an offence punishable by a line not exceeding 025, to promote or take partin a live pigeon shooting match from traps. This was carried by 12 to 0, after the Minister refused to accept it.

THE HOUSE. The House met at 2.30 p.m. The House spent the sitting discussing the first clause of the Retrenchment Bill. After a discussion lasting till 12.15, the clause was carried by (51 to 7, the Labour Party being its only opponents. The House rose at 12 22 a.m.
