The authorities of Westminster Cathedral received three Vatican telegrams on Saturday. The third, arriving about six, announced the Pope’s death, whereupon the bells were tolled at Westminster and Southwark Cathedrals. Berlin wa s also misled, the Pope’s •death being announced in the Reichstag. The Papal Nuncio at Paris issued a denial on Saturday night stating there has been no information from the Vatican, up till ten o’clock. LONDON, January 22. The Pope’s death throes began at 5.20' and the last absolution was givon by Cardinal Giorgia. Cardinal Gasparri was called at 5.30 because the Pope had fallen into a state of coma.
