“The Money Changfers,” the ail star Hampton-Pathc feature at the Princess Theatre on Monday night is not a crook play, nor a drama of high finance, fior a Chinese play, hot it is a study deftly combining all three in a powerful story of New York that takes in alike the glittering splendour of the richest city’s highest society and the colorful, mysterious, drug laden atmosphere of the Oriental underworld. Based oir the theme of Mr Sinclair’s famous novel “The Money Changers.” the story revolves around a nun’s g«wl for money. A respected member oi society and president o! a big drug company, and it was not known that he was also the leader of a ring of drug traffickers. At a cost of the souls of met) and women he grew rich with money that bought an Tl licit drug. The plot of “The Money Changers” unmasks the hypocrite and brings about, a turning point toward .happiness and three romances. The latest Pathe Gazette and a two reel National comedy entitled “At it again” supports this performance on Monday. The Orchestra will also airpear and play a selected programme.
