Westland Trotting Club.
The Committee met last evening at the Club Rooms. Present: Messrs F. McGregor (chairman), H. Butland, RWhiley, J. J. Breeze, R. Fane, I). R. Dowell, J. J. Mclntosh, W. Keller, and M. Houston (Hon. Sec.) The Secretary presented the balance Shoot of the recent meeting, showing receipts £l7lß 3s Gd (including nominations and acceptances £206 2s, totalisator fees £lll7 4s). The expenditure including stakes £760, Government taxation £686 17s Id, amounted to £1531 10s Id, leaving a credit balance of £lB6 4s sd. The report was received and adopted and considered very satisfaetory. The various accounts were passed for payment. The usual bonuses were passed to the caretaker, starter and assistant starter, handicappor and hon. secretary. The sum of £7 10s was passed to the Municipal Band. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to the ladies who conducted the tea and luncheon rooms and to Mi MA. Jamieson, lion, gate stew aid. A general discussion took place on the question of providing a permanent water supply to keep down the dust nuisance, and it was resolved to make enquiries as to the cost ol pipes. It was resolved to clay the trac v immediately after Easter.
