WOODSTOCK WEDDINGS

Woodstock was en fete last January 9[i(l the occasion being the celebration rf two weddings. St. John’s Church Rimu was the screen of the first wedding, the contracting parties being Miss Mildred Gaylor, youngest daughter ot the late Mr H. C. D. Gaylor of Woodstock to Mr Cyril Stephens, of Dennison. The bride looked charming in pale lemon georgette and wore an embroidered net veil, fastened with a circlet of oraime blossoms and carried a lovely bUuef the B ift of Mrs . K. .V Wells. Miss C. Willoughby attended as bridesmaid, and wore pale lemon georgette, and c ream hat relieved with pink, and also carried a beautiful bouquet. Miss Ida Stoop attended as flower girl, and wore pale pink silk and black picture hat The Rev. Purchas of Hokitika officiated and Mr T. Seddon acted as best mail. The happy couple left tho same day en route to Denmston where j the honeymoon is to be spent. At tim Woodstock Presbyterian Church on January 2nd., the wedding was solemnised of Miss Catherine A - exandria Willoughby, youngest daughter of Mr and Airs F. Willoughby of Woodstock to Mr T. Seddon of Denniston The Rev. P. B. Fraser M.A. offieiated. The bride looked charming m pale lemon georgette and wore an embroidered net veil, fastened with a circlet’of orange blossoms and carried a beautiful bouquet, 'the . gift of Mrs F. J. Wells. The bride in the former wedding acted as bridesmaid and looked charming in her bridal gown and also carried a bouquet. Miss Ida Stoop niece of the bride acted as flower girl, wearing pale pink silk and black picture hat. The bridegroom of the former wedding acted as best man. Roth wedding breakfasts were held at the residence of Mrs J. Corsan, where a large number of friends and relatives were entertained and the usual toasts were duly honoured. The happy <‘ou pie also left the same day for Denniston to spend their honeymoon. Both parties were the recipients of many valuable presents and earned away with them the good wishes of all in the district.
