ing cheque for rates. —Received. F,-om Acting llarhor -Master, reporting the channel running straight to .-A,.with a denlli of 13 feet, averaging R> feet for the last 20 days; also reporting a fire on south wall, but the damage was small; also reporting that the life-saving appliances were continually being interfered with. In tins connection it was resolved to place the matter in the hands of the police. Accounts amounting to CLIO Its were passed for payment. Receipts £435 17s 3d, Rank N.Z. cr. £335 11s Id, cash in hand £8 19s (id. After discussion it was resolved to empower the Secretary to do "hat he could to recover outstanding anciirs in rates. This concluded the business and the meeting adjourned.
