WELLINGTON, Jan. 11

■Mr CJ. AV. Forbes to-day introduced a deputation to tbe Minister of Works from the Kaikoura County Council to urge the necessity of proceeding with several long-promised works. The speakers.were Messrs S. Andrew (chairman of the Council), C. Pannel and F. (J. Stan bury.
