The Greymouth amateurs repeated the pleasing opera “A. Country Girl at the Princess Theatre last night when there was even a better attendance than at the opening production, ■pile opera went with a good mg and all the characters were well done. Last night Miss Helen Gard’ner took the role of “Nan” and her singing was a. delight. In concerted numbers particularly her voice w f as used to special advantage, and gave some of the chorus work a splendid finish. Bright and vivacious in her acting also, Miss s lard'ner proved a prime favorite. TBc other ladies talcing chief parts all did well, acting with les s restraint.
