With less than a, fortnight to go to the date of the world’s sculling championship race, both Amst and Hadfield are hard at work putting the finishing touches on their training operations. Amst has brought himself by careful training down to tho weight at .which ho reckons to row, and is now confining himself chiefly tio work on the river. He is looking remarkably well, and rowing with much of His old time paco apparently. Hadfield is shaping better now than ever, and on a, trial spin over the full course yesterday registered a rattling good time, though lie had a. strong wind against hint.
