St Mary’s Fair and Sale of Wort
Ti:e Drill Hall was again well patronised yesterday afternoon and evening, when tlie above function in aid of St Mary’s Church was continued. The various patrons were well rewarded with articles both useful and ornamental at prices most reasonable. The Christmas Tree proved a magnetic attraction for the children who patronised the heavily laden branches to their hearts delight. Delightful afternoon tea is being served in the ante rooms where holiday makers can have recourse at their leisure. The musical programme last evening was supplied by Miss Gilloolv. The Bazaar will be continued this afternoon and evening, opening at 3 p.m., and will open again on Boxing Night and Tuesday at 7.30 p.m. ; COMPETITION RESULTS. The following prizes were won last evening:—Silk blouse, Mr 6. Chapman, Ross; night dress, Miss Hazel Keller; hand painted cushion, Mr C. . Pfahlert; shams, Miss Poster, Sewell 1 Street; supper cloth, Mrs \\. Jeffries; ' sachet, Miss Gwen Jacobs, camisole, • Miss Nellie Coyle; box sweets Mrs I O’Connor; box chocolates, Mrs T. 1 Moore; O’cedar mop, Miss A. Daly; camisole, Mr R. Cain.
