WESTLAND HOSPITAL BUILDING FUND.
HANDSOME DONATION
Yesterday the building fund of the Westland Hospital was credited with a substantial donation of £;>00, the gift of Miss R. Mandl and Dr Gluts Mandl of Hokitika. The donors have handed the gift to the hospital building fund as a memorial of their late father, Joseph Mandl, for many years Mayor of this town and one who served also as a member of the Wosland Hospital I rustoes.
The gift is rendered more valuable by the fact that it will carry the Govcrnir.en subsidy cl 24s to the £1 for voluntary contributions. The total credit to the building fund will therefore he the sum cf £l,lOO a very handsome gift indeed, and at. the same time a. very timely contribution, as the Trustees are now launching the now building lund. The Trustees will appreciate the gift from Aliss Mandl and Dr: Mandl very greatly, considerably lightening tho task in regard to the large liabilities ahead.
