Fokkicn Timhku Competition. The distributing price of Oregon timber in Melbourne has been reduced by £3 TOs to £l3 Ids per 1,000 super, feet. For some time spot supplies of this timber have been restricted, but the recent arrival of two shipments from America has relieved the position. Substantial reductions have also been made in the price of Hattie timbers, the new rates being from 3s 6d to 8s per 100 super-feet (according to size), lower than former prices.
