The Miners Federation Executive met in Wellington on Monday and decided to order hack to work those unions still on strike. SHAG POINT MINERS. DUNEDLN. December 13. The Shag Point miners are still idle but tbc management announced that work would he resumed by January 1, they having advertised for experienced men to stall, then. Work will also commence at the Green Island mines under the new award on Monday. No definite statement of the Taratu men’s intentions is expected before AVednesdav. 11UNTI.Y MINERS. AUCKLAND. December 13. The miners at Himtly held a SlopWork meeting to-day to consider the official pronouncement, but it is understood that matters relating to the new awards were discussed. It was decided to adhere to instructions received from the Alliance of Labour. It is expected the mine will work to-morrow.
