The death occurred on Tuesday ittgbt at Blenheim of Mr Thomas defines, all old pioneer of the Marlborough provinoe. The deceased was a native of Nelson and 77 years of age. A widow and grown up I'amilv are left to mourn his loss. Mr W. JellTios of Hokitika is a nephew.

We regret to report that the young man, who came from Sumner (CanterImrv) is in a somewhat serious 'condition < suffering I'rom ,u ismisiderahle loss of blood, while it is feared tin. ■ it will not lie possible to save his leg. I
