A severe bail storm in Baganhri, Mump, Gunnedah, and Tamworth districts caused serious damage to wheat and fruit crops. .Tagged lumps of ice thrash t«l the standing wheat, smashed windows. damaged property and killed poultry. ‘ 44-HOUHS REFUSED. MELBOURNE, Dec. 5. The Arbitration Court award refused amongst others, the shearers demand for a forty four hours week.
