The Company fought galantlv again.t overwhelming nuitiliers. Two British officers in charge were killed and the senior Indian officer wounded. Twentyfive Sepoys were killed and a greater numlier wounded, the enemy carry,,l,g off twenty attackers. Their losses „re not stated. It is understood the local Afghan Governor attempted to stop the raiders. A strong official protest was made to the Afghan government. which was asked to secure the iclease of the wounded prisoners.
