SAN FRANCISCO, Nov 27. lu the Arbucklo trial the defence produced Dene Morgan, \vho testified that she met Miss Ra.ppo at the homo o£ Henry Lehrman, tho motion picture director, where Alias Uapperiivod. Aliss Morgan said she was Engaged as nurse and housekeeper at Lehrman’s and witness •testified that Aliss Rappo was suffering from bladder trouble then. She said that many times she saw her double up, cry agonisingly, and tear off her clothes. The defence also called several specialists, in an endeavour to prove tlmt Aliss Rappe’s injuries could not have boon caused by Arbuekle. The doctors described treating similar injuries, the cause of which tliev said was a spontaneous one. The comedian’s attorney also sought to place before the jury 'testimony showing that, a cold bath given to Aliss Riipiw after she had lieen drinking might have caused her death. One physician, testified ttiat cold might have caused her injuries. Any elaboration of this testimony was barred by the State objections. Numerous motion picture aetors jtfid actresses were present to testify regarding Arbuckle’s conduct at other parties, and during studio work.
