Auctioneers’ Association
At a meeting of Auctioneers hold yesterday afternoon at Greymouth at which all the firms doing business on the Coast were represented it was unanimously agreed to form an association for the purpose of regulating the conduct of sales, arranging of dates, fixing of uniform rates of commission, etc.
Certain alterations and amendments to the existing conditions of sale for stock, land, furniture etc. were adopted also modifications were made in the terms of payment, delivery and advertising of stock. The new conditions and.regulations fOtne into operation at oiu-e. Air Lynch was elected Chairman for the current year, and Air Christie Secretary and Treasurer.
