Sir !<’. I). Hell gave notice to introduce an Ollicial Search Bill ami families Protection Bill. Tin* Patents Designs ami Trade .Marks Bill was committed. The date of coming into operation of the Bill was altered from Ist April to Ist July. A provision that every solicitor shall he. entitled to he registered as a patents agent was deleted, and there was substituted for it a clause that nothing in the measure shall prohibit solicitors from taking such part as they have heretofore taken in proceedings relating to patents designs and Hade marks. The Bill was put through the tinal stages and passed. The Council rose at 3.0 b P-ln-tiik not si:. The House met at 2.30 p.«n. On the motion of Mr Willord, the Counties Amendment Hill was iiurodurttd and read a lirst time. At the evening sitting the amended Customs duties were introduced and passed at the sitting. The House rose at 11.2!) p.m.
