The Kakapo is expected to leave Dunedin early this week with general cargo for Greymouth, calling at Oamaru, Timaru, Nelson and Westport on route. Importers will please note that this will most likely lie the last steamer from Southern ports on this side of Xmas taking general cargo for West Coast ports. The Ramona left Nelson at 5 o’clock last night and is due at Greymouth early to-morrow morning, and after discharging inward cargo loads coal, timber and general cargo for Wellington. The Koranui is loading timber at Greymouth for Sydney and Newcastle, sailing to-morrow night. The Waipori is due at Grcymoufh tomorrow night to load coal, timber and general cargo for Wellington. Outward cargo received on Thursday.
