An inquest «n* hold over the death oi Hose Stafford, a Maori woman, aged 2ti years, who died I'ruiu injuries received in an accident that occurred on the Spring Creek mad on September The coroner found :i verdict that deceased died from injuiics received in a collision between ;r trap driven by her and a motor car driven by John Emlyn Thomas. The coroner said the evidence showed negligence on the part of Thomas. There also was some evidence that Thomas was drunk while in charge of a car, but as this was contradicted. it was not conclusive. In view of possible further proceedings, the coroner would make no lurther comment.
