THE CRUX. LONDON, November 15. The United Service Washington correspondent says:—After the breathlessness which followed the dramatic shock of Mr Hughes’s first speech, the attention of publicists is turning almost unanimously to the Eastern problems. which are the crux of the situation. An expectation is expressed in many quarters that Mr Hughes will furnish a clear-cut plan for a Far Eastern agreement. This is not, however, likely to receive such ready and substantial acceptance ns the disarmament scheme."
