The second 'League football test match was played at Hull and resulted : Australasia 10 points, England 2. The first half of the game was strenuous, the tackling on both sides being deadly ; but the visitors showed up better in exchanges of pass'll". The first spell ended with the score at a penalty goal each. The second halt was ail attractive display, play being fast and the visitors aggressive profiting by their opponents’ mistakes. They frequently i .-letrated the English lines, and despite desperate efforts of England to retrieve their position, the Australasians added fourteen points. The Home team s score remaining unchanged. A number of players on ilx'th sides suffered minor injuriies. Nineteen penalties were awarded, of which ten were against England. The tjehavi sir of the crowd was the best of the tour.
