‘THE SILENT HARRIER.” MONDAY.
Aside from its scenic investiture, the Swiss Alps, “The Silent Barrier,” at the Princess Theatre on Monday next has much appeal in its dramatic mo- j incuts. Adapted from Louis Tracy’s well-known novel and produced with a cast of all star proportions, to which arc added the vast reaches of snow, the perilous ascent .of the mountain, the back-grounds of firs, shelter huts and the carnival at St Morlitz—all these attributes give the picture value from an entertainment point of view. Sheldon tTJewis is seen as a thoroughly convincing and detestable millionaire villain. and' the role of heroine is admirably carried out hv Corinne, Barker, assisted hv two co-heroines in uladys Hulette and Florence Dixon—all . harminn girls. Intrigue, romance and adventure vie with each other in this fascinating story of the Alps. A really good supporting series will also he aonVncd including the latest Rathe da set to and a two-reel Christie comedy entitled ‘Wedding Blues.”
