AI, LEG El) MISCONDUCT. | 11V Tni.KfillAl'lt —rF.n phf.ss association] AUCKLAND, Nov. 2 Reference was made last evening by Mr Cluthn McKenzie to a charge o: alleged misconduct on the part ol a canvasser working in Auckland East iniule by the Chairman of Mr Foster’s meeting the pievious evening, that a Reform canvasser ascertained which way women were voting, and failed to register those voting against Mackenzie. Mackenzie said the el large was largely unjustified, though it was true that about six enrolment forms had net been accounted for. It was througli no deliberate plan on tho part of the canvasser. She was a woman of integrity, whose name and long war service was a sufficient guarantee of her honour. Of the missing forms four had been of his supporters, and two of his opponent’s supporters. The canvasser in question had proposed to forego her vote for the Government Party to minimise the loss so that the speaker had lost more votes than his opponents. The' loss \Tas occasioned through circumstances quite out of her hands, and if negligence could he proved lie was anxious to prolm the matter fully-
