CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 1 U the Supremo Court, David Irwin was charged with theft from the. person Accused conducted his own defence and described the evidence against him as contradictory. Judge Adams addressing Ihe jury, said the case was a simple one, With Ho evidence to contradict the Crown’s ettse. The Jury returned a verdict of not guiltv after thirty minutes retirement.
