SOLDIER PREFERENCE. SYDNEY, Get. 19 The New South Wales Labour' Government proposes to abolish the Act which grants preference of employment to returned soldiers and sailors. The Returned Sailors’ and Soldiers’ Imperial League was notified on behalf of the Premier’s Department that it was the intention of the Government to introduce a measure before Parliament with the object of abolishing the Act, to take effect at the end of the year.
