Ex-Sister Ligoliri was returning Inline with friends last night at eleven o'clock when she was kidnapped h.v twenty men, and carried oil' in a motor car. Her whereabouts are unknown.
In a statement to the police by Rev Toucliell ht his home in Inirwoud, where Ligoliri was staying, lie explained that Joseph Partridge was going to Ireland in the steamer Ceramic and wanted his sister to go, hut she declined. Mrs Toucliell stated Ligoliri feared the influence of the Catholic Church, and had decided to embrace the Pro-, lestant faith. At her request a l> >Jvgnard lias always been provided.

A party were returning from a religious meeting and had iust readied the gate of Tom-hell's residence, when the attackers appeared. In a scrimmage, Toucliell was somewhat roughly handled. Mistress Tom-hell and another of tile party were knocked down in attempting to rescee Ligoiiri. who was borne to a motor ear and hurried away. The police are actively searching. Toucliell intends to invoke.the Habeas Corpus Act. He state- a lew days ago he was warned by a Roman Catholic that a plot was afoot to kidnap Ligoliri.
