AN ASSAULT CHARGE. WAIRO-V, October 19. At tho Magistrate’s Court this niorning a negro, William Huntly Spencer, was charged with assaulting Leonard Storey and causing actual bodily harm. The informants evdence went to show he accused Spencer of supplying his wife with fiipior, and told him to knock the game off. or meet trouble. Accused immediately knocked the informant down and rendered him uneti'iiscioiits. After cross examination tile Magistrate said he could hot semi the case to the Supreme Court. The charge was then reduced to common assault. The rase is proceeding.
