KAKAPOTAIII BRIDGE

At a meeting of the town members of the Westland County Council at noon to-day, ■ present Messrs Ward (Chairman), Jeffries, Duff and Murdoch, tenders were opened as follows for Kakapotahi Bridge for the construction of the bridge and the approaches of 14 chains to same, as fellows: — H. J. Reynolds, Waitnha, £1,537 (is Od. Gardiner and Mitchell, Ross £1,330 !)s Bd. The tender of Messrs Gardiner a,lid Mitchell was accepted. The work is to be completed in twenty 'weeks’ time from tbe signing of the contract. The work is being undertaken in accordance with the late lean proposals, and will be paid for out of the loan moneys ‘authorised to he raised by tbe ratepayers of the special 1 rating district.
